If they still do those Scotch flavoured condoms they used to have in Glasgow pub loos, buy a packet. Not because of the tacky tartan box, but because even one sniff of rubber mixed with lubricant/spermicide mixed with synthetic whiskey flavouring/scent is an experience never to be forgotten.

Get used to hearing "ya English bastard" at the end of a sentence when they're talking to you.

Re: Recommendations for a long weekend in Edinburgh
Edinburgh is a great city with some fantastic architecture and some excellent bars and restaurants. Greenaway, Timberyard, Kitchin are all excellent, although can be a bit toppy. Friend of mine ate at The Gardeners Cottage last week, said it was superb.

13 probably just filled up on the stuff that Marc Almond used to get his stomach pumped for.

Very good restaurant called Angels and Bagpipes.

The Camera Obscura thing near the castle is fun. Especially the light tummel after a few whiskeys.

Re: SPLAAAATTTT !!!
Ignore 13, it's a lovely place to go for a weekend.

Grass market has a couple of decent boozers and Arthur's seat is always good to climb when drunk at 2am.

Castle is a bit of a rip off, though no different to London I suppose.

Generally eat on the other side of the castle to princess St, where there are loads of places.

Done a ghost walk last time as well which was pretty good.
